SPECTATOR CODE OF CONDUCT

The FHS code of conduct has been instituted to ensure an enjoyable and competitive event for each and every individual attending the tournament. All FHS spectators and caddies are required to abide by all rules and regulations set forth by the Faldo Hurricane Series.

ANY SPECTATOR OR CADDIE FOUND TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THIS CODE OF CONDUCT RUNS THE RISK OF BEING IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM THE HOST FACILITY AS WELL AS HAVING THEIR PLAYER BE SUSPENDED FROM THE SERIES INDEFINITELY.

Behavior

 The FHS will not tolerate poor behavior at the host facility.

  • All spectators and caddies are expected to carry themselves as ladies and gentlemen at all times.
  • Any spectator or caddie exhibiting negative behavior directed towards other spectators, caddies, players, course staff, or FHS staff will be subject to IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM THE HOST FACILITY.
  • Any spectator found to be disrespecting the host facility in any way, will be subject to IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM THE HOST FACILITY.
  • Any spectator or caddie that we find to be swearing, yelling, or exhibiting any kind of disruptive behavior will be subject to IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM THE HOST FACILITY.

Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco

The FHS does not allow the use of any illegal substances at any time.

  • Any use of any illegal substances will result in immediate removal of the spectator or caddie from the host facility and possible suspension from the FHS.
  • The FHS does not allow excessive consumption of alcohol.
  • Any spectator that appears to be visibly drunk or is behaving belligerently due to alcohol consumption will be removed from the host facility without warning and will face possible suspension.
  • Any caddie found to be consuming alcohol will be immediately relieved of his/her caddying duties as well as being IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM THE HOST FACILITY.
  • The FHS does not allow the use of tobacco by caddies.
  • Any use of tobacco by caddies will not be permitted at any FHS event.

Code of conduct violation penalties

The FHS Tournament Committee, based on severity and frequency of the violation(s), may do one or more of the following:

  • Issue a warning.
  • Remove the spectator from the host facility and ban them for the remainder of the event.
  • Depending on the severity of the violation, a spectator is also subject to possible suspension from future events for either a set number of events or indefinitely.

‍The FHS reserves the right to ban a spectator from any/or all events at their discretion, for a serious breach of the FHS Code of Conduct. A spectator’s violation of this code of conduct is not limited to the current round but may include repeated offenses from tournament to tournament.

Appeals

Any appeal must be made in writing to the FHS Tournament Committee at 16349 Phil Ritson Way, Winter Garden, FL 34787. Appeals must be made within two weeks of the occurrence.

PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

The FHS code of conduct has been instituted to ensure an enjoyable event for each and every person attending the tournament. All FHS competitors are expected to abide by all rules and regulations set forth by the Series.

Golf Attire

All FHS participants are required to wear proper golf attire at the host facility. Blue jeans, cut offs, and t-shirts will not be permitted. If you show up to an event without proper attire you will be asked to change clothing. If you wear a hat, it must be worn in a proper manner at all times. All golf shirts are required to have a collar or mock turtle neck (host facility permitting) and be tucked in. Footwear with a closed toe is required at all events. Flip flops, open-toed sandals and other similar shoes are not permitted.

Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco

The FHS does not allow the use of these products. These products will not be allowed on the golf course or any facility affiliated with the event. The use of these products will result in disqualification and possible suspension from future events.

Behavior

The FHS will not tolerate poor behavior at the host facility. All participants are expected to carry themselves as ladies and gentlemen at all times. The following actions constitutes a violation:

  • Not adhering to the dress code at the host facility
  • Use or association with drugs, alcohol, or tobacco
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct including club throwing, cheating, abusive language, disrespect volunteers, spectators, or staff members.
  • Failure to treat host golf course with respect by not replacing ball marks, not picking up trash, raking bunkers, and caring for the course.

Code of conduct violation penalties

The FHS Tournament Committee may assess any or all of the following penalties based on the severity of the violation(s):

  • Issue a one stroke penalty for breach of conduct
  • Disqualify the player from the tournament at which the violation occurs, or
  • Depending on the severity of the violation, a tournament disqualification may also result in disqualification from the next tournament(s) for which a player has been accepted.
  • The FHS reserves the right to suspend or revoke a player’s membership or entries for a serious breach of the FHS Code of Conduct.
  • A player’s disregard of others is not limited to the current round but may include repeated offenses from tournament to tournament.
